Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Freelance Proofreader/Editor to edit our fantasy novel. This remote position offers flexibility. Responsibilities

  • Review and proofread our YA fantasy novel for grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors. Emphasis will be placed on making sure it conforms to past tense.
  • Collaborate with writers to clarify content requirements and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure all deliverables meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Adapt editing style based on a creative writing project

Qualifications

  • Degree in English or English Literature Proven experience in proofreading and editing.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear feedback
  • Exceptional writing skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with word processing tools and editing software (e.g., Microsoft Word).
  • Background in creative writing is highly desirable
