The Role: Junior Software Developer - Fullstack

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Lead Software Developer to enhance and expand a flagship web application housing a suite of litigation calculators. The role involves contributing to frontend and backend development, implementing new features, and translating user needs into scalable tools that support the legal team's work. It's ideal for someone eager to grow their fullstack skillset while making meaningful contributions to a legal tech product used by industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement features for a robust web application using ReactJS/NextJS.
  • Collaborate with the audit team to translate legal calculation requirements into usable web tools.
  • Maintain code quality through unit testing, version control, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Connect to and develop backend APIs and services to support the web application.
  • Participate in code reviews to promote consistency, performance, and learning across the team.
  • Continuously develop technical skills and stay updated on modern technologies and frameworks.

About You

  • 1- 2 years of experience in software development, ideally in a fullstack environment.
  • Proficient in HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Skilled in React and Next.js (JavaScript or TypeScript).
  • Experience with Git for version control.
  • Bonus skills include familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Python or Java, VBA, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and proactive in taking on new technical challenges.
  • Strong communicator and team player who enjoys collaborative problem-solving.
  • Organized and self-motivated, with the potential to lead future development projects.
