Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable Microsoft 365 / Azure Administrator to support day-to-day operations of our Microsoft cloud environment. This role focuses on administration, user support, configuration, and maintenance across Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, and endpoint management platforms.

The ideal candidate is a strong operator who understands how the Microsoft ecosystem fits together and can maintain a secure, reliable environment while improving processes and documentation over time.

This role works closely with senior engineers and IT leadership to implement standards and keep systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Administration

  • Manage user accounts, licensing, and permissions
  • Support Exchange Online mailboxes and distribution groups
  • Administer Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive settings
  • Troubleshoot mail flow, collaboration, and access issues
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes

Identity & Access (Active Directory / Entra ID)

  • Maintain users, groups, and role assignments
  • Support MFA and conditional access policies
  • Assist with SSO application integrations
  • Troubleshoot authentication and login issues
  • Maintain group and access hygiene

Azure Support

  • Manage basic Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking)
  • Monitor alerts and system health
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates
  • Support backup and restore operations
  • Escalate architectural or complex issues

Endpoint Management

  • Administer Intune device enrollment and compliance
  • Deploy applications and configuration profiles
  • Support Windows endpoint configuration and patching
  • Troubleshoot device and access problems

Security Operations Support

  • Respond to security alerts from Microsoft Defender tools
  • Investigate suspicious logins and endpoint alerts
  • Apply security configuration baselines
  • Assist with audits and compliance evidence gathering

Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Maintain operational documentation and procedures
  • Create user guides and internal knowledge articles
  • Identify repetitive tasks for automation opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years supporting Microsoft 365 environments
  • Experience with Exchange Online and Teams administration
  • Familiarity with Azure portal and virtual machines
  • Active Directory and Entra ID user management experience
  • Basic PowerShell skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intune or endpoint management experience
  • MFA / conditional access exposure
  • Backup and restore operations
  • Ticketing system experience
  • ITIL or service operations background
