How will you make an impact in this role?

Credit Authorizations Specialist Achieving best-in-class servicing effectiveness while meeting operational performance standards between enabling spend or taking actions to recover balances is what every Credit Authorizations Specialist do every day. In the Credit Operations team, you will join a group of driven and fun specialists focusing in reviewing customers profile, financial creditability and even creditworthiness to determine enabling spend and preventing losses. It is our upmost priority that the fine balance in decision making is in the best interest of American Express and our Card Members. The successful candidate will be located in American Express Malaysia as part of the Credit Operations Team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Update card member account details with precision and attention to detail.

  • Respond to internal colleague inquiries in clear English writing.

  • Review, analyze, and process credit limit increase requests from cardmembers and managing risk effectively.

  • Turn each correspondence into a relationship-building experience. Navigate customer inquiries comprehensively, ensuring full compliance with company policies from start to finish.

  • Handling a wide range of general and complex inquiries and problems including perform credit limit review and spend enablement review by mitigate risk.

  • Understand, determine and anticipate customer needs and present solutions as appropriate. Adapt seamlessly to evolving business needs, policy adjustments, and process enhancements.

  • Understand and follow the market specific (local law) requirements in each case handling.

  • Collaborate seamlessly within a team environment, driven by a commitment to not just meet but exceed performance expectations.

  • Efficiently handle high-volume reporting tasks with precision and swiftness.

  • Market served: Multiple International Market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Any customer servicing or customer facing background is basic requirement credit, collection, recovery and spend enablement decision making experience would be an added advantage.

  • Knowledgeable about the requirements for validating income documents in Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand.

  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.

  • Good interpersonal skills, mature and patience in handling difficult customers.

  • Good analytical skills with attention to accuracy and detail.

  • Able to make sound decisions effectively and promptly.

  • Good interpersonal skills and diverse in thinking Must be able to work toward deadlines and handle multiple tasks.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel.
