Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Lead to drive a large-scale digital transformation program for a Power & Energy organization.

This role requires a strong functional leader with deep expertise in SAP Supply Chain modules including MM, EWM, QM, and Ariba integration, along with proven experience leading end-to-end S/4HANA implementations.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain S/4HANA Implementation Lead to spearhead the digital transformation of Supply Chain processes for our Power & Energy business. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain modules with strong functional expertise across Procurement (MM), Sourcing (Ariba), Inventory & Warehouse (EWM), and Quality Management (QM).
This role requires a hands-on leader with deep business process knowledge, strong stakeholder management skills, and proven experience in large-scale S/4HANA implementations within manufacturing or power generation industries.

Key Responsibilities
1. Program Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the full lifecycle of SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain implementation including blueprinting, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Serve as the primary functional lead across MM, QM, EWM modules and process Integration with Ariba.
  • Drive project planning, task prioritization, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
2. Business Alignment & Process Excellence
  • Partner with business leaders in Procurement, Warehousing, Inventory Management, and Quality to define target-state processes.
  • Analyze and redesign existing supply chain processes to leverage S/4HANA best practices.
  • Ensure alignment of functional design with business goals, regulatory compliance, and industry standards for the power sector.
3. Solution Design & Functional Expertise
  • Lead workshops, requirement gathering, and process mapping sessions.
  • Design integrated solutions covering:
    • Procurement (MM): Purchase requisitions, purchase orders, RFQs, vendor master, contracts.
    • Sourcing integration (Ariba): Sourcing events, supplier collaboration, guided buying, procurement integration.
    • Inventory & Warehouse (EWM): warehouse operations, inbound/outbound processes, put-away, picking, staging, physical inventory.
    • Quality Management (QM): Inspection plans, results recording, quality notifications, integration with MM and manufacturing.
  • Oversee integration with Finance, and Asset Management.
4. Stakeholder & Change Management
  • Act as a bridge between business teams, IT, and implementation partners.
  • Drive user adoption through training, communication, and change management strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to functional consultants and analysts.
5. Governance, Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure adherence to project governance, documentation, and audit standards.
  • Prepare functional specifications, test scenarios, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Support UAT, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Functional Expertise
  • 10-15 years of experience in SAP Supply Chain modules (MM, QM, EWM, Integration).
  • Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations as a Supply Chain lead.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing, inventory and warehouse processes, and quality management.
  • Experience in integrating supply chain modules with Finance, and Plant Maintenance.
Industry Experience
  • Previous experience in Power, Utilities, EPC, Engineering, or Heavy Manufacturing preferred.
Technical & Leadership Skills
  • Ability to translate business processes into digital solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP S/4HANA or SAP Certified Application Associate certification.
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/sprint project environments.
  • Exposure to supplier collaboration platforms and warehouse automation tools.
