Control and maintain all records required for accurate, on-time completion of shipments. Work in a team environment to accomplish work assignments. Receive inventory and check the merchandise’s quality and accuracy. Efficiently wrap and pack merchandise with packing slip or order details for each shipment, while maintaining a quick and steady pace and not compromising accuracy. Have all merchandise prepared accurately and ready for shipping on time. Periodically use computers, email, scanners, and the warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory, create paperwork, or document reporting. Support and promote company core values. Regular attendance is required. Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts. Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems. Good judgment; knows when to escalate issues and when to try to resolve them. Ability to work independently or in a team setting, in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel, as well as Internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications, such as the WMS. Ability to type and update computer systems quickly and accurately. Proven competence to communicate clearly and persuasively with all levels of an organization. A team player with a high level of energy and self-motivation. Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and set priorities. Must be mentally and emotionally capable of handling a high-stress environment. Experience working in Freight Forwarding or Transportation industry preferred. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
