We're looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Engagement Leader to lead new opportunities, expand partnerships, and shape the future of our US Domestic business. Our ideal candidate brings deep expertise in defense business capture, preferably with Uncrewed Air Systems business development experience. You excel at building and expanding relationships with key industry and government influencers, and take a proactive, innovative approach to driving growth. This role partners closely across programs and functions and is committed to collaboration and customer success. You'll balance strategic vision with hands-on execution-diving into the details with your teams while keeping a sharp focus on where the industry and our customers are headed next.
Responsibilities include:

  • Drive the creation, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the engagement strategy and business development efforts for Insitu's growth efforts with the US Domestic region
  • Lead the long-term positioning and capture execution of Company product and services offerings for regional assignment
  • Oversee business capture opportunities; execute strategies and tactics to foster business growth with acceptable margins
  • Leverage resources and knowledge of Insitu's products, services, processes and operations to support customer commitments and foster business growth
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regional customers, stakeholders, and key business affiliates to become trusted business partner
  • Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to develop technical capabilities to align to market requirements
  • Partner with Marketing, Strategy, and technical product leaders to proactively engage and influence new and existing customers
  • Mentor and guide Business Development specialists in the execution of engagement and capture strategy

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' experience as a business development director, manager, senior-level specialist, with a track record of successful business capture OR; Recently retired miliary professionals with experience in UAS or intelligence technology acquisitions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, guide, and influence teams both directly and indirectly
  • Experience in maintaining relationships with customer decision-makers, and industry partners
  • Deep familiarity with Department of War (DoW) acquisition process; knowledge or experience working with the USCG, US Navy and USMC
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Education & Experience
  • 10-14 years' related experience in the aerospace or defense industry with a bachelor's degree or 8-12 years related experience with a master's degree OR; Comparable miliary experience and/or work experience.

Travel Requirement
  • This position requires domestic and international travel up to 40% of the time.

Please note that the salary information show below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications and work location.
Typical Hiring Range: 184,000.00 - 253,000.00
